Pasteur Cerba was founded in 1967 to act as a new type of reference center
for special tests being carried out for medical laboratories and hospitals
in the local region. In January 1999, it merged with the Special Medical
Test Center of the Pasteur Institute in Paris to become the largest Specialized
Biology Laboratory in the whole of Europe.
Size helps Pasteur Cerba to keep up to date with all the advances in medical
testing technology by providing the resources to meet all the reasonable
expectations of health care providers and help them offer their patients
the best possible care.
The company's diverse range of activities covers most medical disciplines
and are split between mutually complementary departments, namely Specialized
Biology, Genetics,
and Pathology.
In March 2001, an Animal Health Department was inaugurated.
Pasteur Cerba is constantly developing both its human and its technical

being granted COFRAC
accreditation
